The Ice hockey Development school is a program designed by Ice Hockey Australia called the "come and try program".

The school takes you through the basic fundamentals of skating from stopping, skating backward, puck handling, shooting and even goal tending.

The program is an open ended program letting you progress as fast or as slow as you like.

The goal of the Ice Hockey Development School is to help people learn and enjoy the fantastic sport of Ice Hockey and teach the basic skills needed to go on and play in the non-contact league or the more challenging state league competition, opening the door for state representation or even to play for Australia.

The recently formed team "The Wildcats" have just evolved from IHDS.  The Wildcats play games in the Pee Wee League of Ice Hockey Victoria.  Check "what's on" to see when they play in Bendigo.  Come and cheer on our future Ice Hockey stars.

IHDS is very proud that in the past ten years we have seen many young players go on to state competition with three players moving through to represent Australia at the World Championships.

The School runs on Monday nights from: 6pm - 7:30pm year round, including during the school holidays.

(Safety gear, skates, sticks and pucks provided, bring your own mouth guard).

The cost is $10.00 per week for the 1-1/2 hour session.
